Yes, when they were made they would probably work just fine, but not with the insane amount  of  frequencies in use and line leakage out there today, unless you are really rural they probably would not work, there is just too much interference. Electrical Components that do not use standard wall receptacles are not returnable once installed. Devices with a serial numbers will be recorded, any device without a serial number will be inconspicuously marked. All activity in the shipping and receiving area is recorded for future reference.
